Course description:
This course covers: drawing in fine art, developing fine art language, developing a fine art identity, historical and contextual referencing, critical study, materials and processes in fine art, visual arts professional practice and optional units such as personal development in drawing, lens based recording techniques, presenting and exhibiting artwork, painting, fine art printmaking, fine art sculpture, time based artwork, fine art digital applications, digital imaging, site specific art and specialist studio practice.
Entry requirements:
Students must be at least 18 years of age; have 1 A level pass plus passes in four other subjects at GCSE grade C or above; or Edexcel or BTEC National Diploma in a related subject; or have successfully completed a one year Diploma Foundation Studies course in Art and Design and the equivalent of 5 GCSE passes at Grade C or above; or have successfully completed a related Access course; or hold equivalent, related qualifications; or hold equivalent, related work experience.
