Accommodation & Facilities

The University of Nottingham has invested heavily in the creation and development of academic and recreational facilities at its campuses. Excellent facilities ranging from health services to disabled access are available to make studying and living at the University a memorable experience.

Accommodation
The University has 15 fully catered halls of residence in a safe campus environment at or near University Park, Jubilee Campus and Sutton Bonington Campus. The dining hall caters to different diets on request. Students can also choose to stay in one of the 2,500 self-catered rooms situated in seven locations on or near the campuses. All the halls have resident wardens and tutors to support students if they ever need help or advice.  There are also possibilities for those who would prefer a single sex block. For others who prefer to live off campus, the University's Accommodation Office offers help and advice.

Libraries
The University’s libraries – 14 in total – including the ones at the Chinese and Malaysian campuses, stock more than a million books and journals and three million manuscripts. The libraries offer areas for group study and private study. Four of the University’s largest libraries provide some of the most technologically advanced flexible learning facilities in Europe. Online access to library resources is also available.

Computing
Students can access general IT facilities through a number of computer rooms located in the various locations across the University. Many of the University’s computer rooms are open 24-hours a day. Wireless connectivity is also available at over 400 points across the University’s campuses.

Restaurants and cafeterias
Cafés, food courts, fully-catered halls and bars are situated across the campuses, serving a number of different food options.

Art and Entertainment
The University is renowned for its art and music facilities. For students interested in drama, the active theatre company enables students to get involved in all aspects of staging a wide variety of productions. The Lakeside Arts Centre houses two recital halls and an art gallery. The new DH Lawrence Pavilion, named after one of the University's most famous graduates, includes a theatre and cinema complex.

Sports
With over 70 sports clubs, the University prides itself in facilitating some of the top sport in the country. The extensive range of sport and fitness facilities includes a Sports Centre, a Fitness Centre and a swimming pool. The main sports facilities are located on the University Park Campus, with facilities also available at the Jubilee and Sutton Bonington campuses.

Prayer rooms
The University is a secular institution which recognises and encourages student's right to free worship. The University Chaplaincy covers a range of Christian denominations. There are also Muslim prayer rooms (on University Park Campus and Jubilee Campus) and a multi-faith facility on the University Park Campus.
